Create a biography of yourself. It should be 3+ minutes in length. Questions that should be answered:
1. Who are you?
2. What/who influences you?
3. Identify major life events that made you who you are.
4. Reveal a main topic

6. Due May 20th - No Games or YouTube until then. Focus on your project or bring in homework from other classes. We will simultaneously be finishing the Robotics video so manage your time wisely.
Write a 2 page biography on a director of your choice. Explain why that person is substantial to filmmaking. Give their background, explain what influences them with their visions and give a history of what they have done with their career. It should be double spaced, Times New Roman, font size 12. This is due by May 15th.

4. Answer the below questions and turn in 1 copy for the group, you will probably need to look up how to do this in the instruction manual.
On a piece of paper - answer these Questions:
1. What equipment will we need to bring to shoot on location?
2. What will be the biggest obstacles?
3. What will be our best approach to good sound?
4. What will be our best approach to good lighting?
5. How could we set up a 3-Point Lighting System? Do we have all the equipment for it? If not, what creative solutions do we have?
Finish your video projects - you should have them finished by the end of the day so that we can watch them tomorrow!
1. Does it promote positive change in people’s lives? The film should influence some kind of positive change in the viewer, and can change the way they see the world. It could be the kind of change that inspires a viewer, or perhaps educates them. It could change their perspective or make them think about certain topics in new ways.
2. Films are judged on their overall artistic and technical quality. A movie that achieves a high level of artistic and technical quality draws the viewer in and allows them to fully experience whatever story the filmmakers are trying to tell.
2.a Art can be defined by the way that it combines acting, images (video), sound and music. Together they should engage, enthrall and entertain audiences.
2.b Technical skill is evident in elements such as the directing, cinematography and production. When done correctly, a technically correct film will enhance it’s artistic quality.
Criteria
Create a 5-10 minute short movie
The movie should have a plot - intro, climax, resolution
Answer the following: What are President Obama’s proposals to reduce gun violence, and how are critics reacting to his plans?
Remember: This should be unbiased (don’t tell us your opinion); apply the 5W’s
Technical Requirements: It should be 60-90 seconds long. You should not use more than :10 seconds of video from another clip. You could use photos, muted clips, green screen, etc.
Due: Tuesday, January 22nd - if it’s not on the flash drive by the end of the period you get 1 letter grade off. No submissions will be accepted once class starts on Wednesday January 23rd. lf you need more time, talk with Mr. Cropper to find a time to come in during a free hour or before/after school.
